Abstract

In the context of flutter flight tests, this paper presents a new way of applying excitation to the aircraft: excitation signal is applied simultaneously to all the control surfaces with appropriate sign of deflection. This approach leads to an improved quality of modal analysis and to a drastic reduction of the overall duration of the flight tests.
